Hi, I’m X. Garcia, RN—and I’m glad you’re here.
If you’ve ever spiraled down a Google rabbit hole trying to figure out what that weird symptom might be…
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed after a doctor’s visit and thought, “Wait—what did they just say?”
If you’re a caregiver, a patient, a parent, or just someone who wants to understand their body better…
You’re in the right place.
Why I Started This Blog
As a registered nurse, I’ve spent hours at the bedside—not just giving meds and monitoring vitals, but sitting with people in their most vulnerable moments.
And one thing I’ve learned?
Most people don’t need more information.
They need better explanations.
My passion for patient education started back when I was earning my ADN and then grew exponentially while earning my BSN at Clemson University. While many students rushed through lectures or dreaded exams, I genuinely loved the content. I was the guy in study groups who actually liked the textbooks—and I quickly became the one everyone came to when they needed something broken down clearly.
That love for learning never left me. If anything, it’s grown stronger as I’ve seen how empowering the right words can be for a patient who’s scared, confused, or just trying to understand what’s going on inside their body.
I’m also proud to be a male nurse—a group that’s still underrepresented in healthcare. It’s part of what drives me to show up, educate clearly, and prove that nursing is for anyone with heart, science, and a desire to make people feel seen.
This blog is my way of sharing what I know in a way that makes sense—so you don’t need a degree to understand your health.
